Ways to get involved
There are four practical ways to join this work: volunteer your hours, partner as a company or school, fundraise inside your own community, or simply ask us a question before you commit. Each one has a named staff contact and a reply within two business days. Pick the path that fits the time and resources you actually have.
Volunteers run after-school tutoring, sort emergency supply kits, and sit with families during intake appointments. We train every volunteer, cover the background check, and match you to a site near you. Most tutors stay with the same child for a full school year, which is exactly what makes the reading gains stick.
Partners fund a program area, open a matching gift campaign, or send staff for a service day. Clinics and schools refer families straight into emergency aid so no child waits on a waiting list. Tell us your sector and we will send a one-page partnership outline within two days.
Run a birthday appeal, a team challenge, or a classroom supply drive and we hand you the whole kit: a donation page, printable flyers, and impact wording that tells donors exactly what their money buys. The average community drive raises enough to cover a full term of tutoring for nine children.
